The Mendip Players Youth group (known as MPY) was set up in 2018 to accommodate the growing number of young people involved in Mendip Players' productions.

Aimed at 11 - 18 year olds, the group takes place every Tuesday from 5pm - 6.30pm at the Memorial Hall, Draycott.

With an emphasis on learning stage craft (not musical theatre!), the group produces at least two shows a year working from improvisations and modern adaptations of classics - all the devised by the MPY themselves.

Through games, workshops, small and large group activities, our MPY take to the stage, direct, do the tech, makeup and costumes.

There are theatre trips and Zoom sessions when needed!
